240,000 tourists miss their flights

Summary

According to tourism minister Weerasak Kowsurat, he said that the tourists who miss their flight have risen to 240,000 due to the closure of the Thai international airport. The minister also said that he will try to ask for the special financial package about 1o billion baht to help the tourism and related industries. It was estimated that tourist arrivals to Thailand would be cut by half next year from original target of 13.5 million.

Personal response

In my opinion, the closure of the Thai international airport cause a lot of problems for Thailand especially tourism. The financial package to help the tourism is reasonable and should be supported by the politicians.
