Cable & Wireless to dismiss 1 200
The second-largest telecoms company of Britain is going to firing about 1200 workers as a part of restructuring.
PLC has an operation which affected employee in 13 islands to be laid-off. This operation will end in September next year. Once restructuring is completed employees about 2500 could be laid off.

Growth to slow to 3-4% next year as exports, oil prices slip
Summary
Growth rate of the agricultural is reduced to 3-4% in the year because of reducing exports from receding economy.
Oil fluctuate price make crop growth down to 4.7% from 6.2% in this year.
But there is a good point from dismissing workers from plants because about 6-7% will return to farm work.
Agriculture’s growth rate is lower than the earlier made this year by 0.2% according to higher oil prices.

What are travelers being told about Thailand?
Few governments have warned citizens about traveling to Thailand during the blockade of Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airport. U.S. Embassy in Bangkok advises the travelers avoid area of demonstrations. And it told that Thai Foreign Ministry recompenses the travelers about 2,000 baht for stranded foreign nationals. UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office advice citizens avoid air travel into Bangkok and avoid the area which anti-government protest. In addition, it also states about the badly hit Thailand’s economy has been by the airport shutdown.

Proposals to revive travel
The TAT (The Tourism Authority of Thailand) will stage a tourism trade fair about 200tour operators, airlines and hotels will participate in the fair with to revive travel. Tour operators, hotels and airlines are banding together to offer discounts of 30-50% on their products in an effort to lure back tourists for the high season.
Maiyarat Pheerayakoses (The president of the Association of Domestic Travel)said the battered tourism industry was expected to take up to two years to make a full recovery.

His Majesty the King is "mildly" sick and cannot deliver his annual birthday-eve speech.

My response : This make me worried for the health of the beloved King. I wishing HM the king to be getting well very soon. I pray and hope that the king will be better.
Not being able to see HM The King and listen to his speech on his Birthday have made me feel missing a important thing. I wish our King to be immortal. I wish HM The King to save Thailand and Thai people forever.But, sadly, the reality is our King is human too and he is mortal .
sometime I think, What we do now, for our democracy?, for our economy?,for our nation?, for our lives and the other? There are many questions than answers for our future. But one thing is for sure. We are Thai. we can do better than what we are in our current situaiton in all aspects.

Faction war hinders plan for new govt
Current politics is more interesting because two parties, Democrats and Puea Thai, are competing to collect representatives from coalition party. Democrat leader Abhisit Vejjajiva, secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban and other key party member visited Puea Pandin leader Pracha Promnok with a bouquet of red roses yesterday. Formerly, they used to do it with other parties such as Chart Thai Pattana, Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana and the dissolved Machimathipataya and a faction controlled by Newin Chidchob. Democrats party will have representatives more than Puea Thai, however, nobody knows who will be a new prime minister coming soon.

From the passage I disagree with the occupation Suvarnabhumi of PAD. Because the damage from the occupation is severe to people and Thailand. Violence in far south terrifies local children
I disagree violence in the three southern border provinces because it has effect with everything such as education, community. I think the violence has most effect with children in the three southern border provinces because them can’t go to school. Therefore children in the three southern border province lack education because them dread with the violence from insurgent attacks such as shootings and bombings to beheadings. But I agree with children because them think that religion aren’t cause of violence in the three southern border provinces. In the future I hope the children meet peace.

Suvarnabhumi opens for cargo
After anti-government protesters has been closed the cargo terminal at Suvarnabhumi since Friday.
Now, some Asian airlines have begun operating freighters from Suvarnabhumi Airport after anti-government protesters agreed to allow carriers to clear backlogs from the cargo terminal
The People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD), last night announced it would cease all protests this morning and authorities hoped passenger and freight operations would start to slowly return to normal.

Cabinet approves Bt1.9 billion to pay compensations to stranded tourists

The caretaker Cabinet Tuesday approved a budget of Bt1.9 billion to pay compensations to Thai and foreign tourists stranded because of the seizures of the Suvarnabhumi and Don Murang airports.Deputy Government Spokeswoman Suparat Nakboonnam said each tourist would receive Bt2,000 a day for being unable to fly home from November 25 to December 9.

King provides blankets to needy
The King's foundation provide warm clothes and blankets to people which has been hit by seasonal cold weather. While, hilltribers in the northern province wait for the assistance cause take this effect also that electricity is not yet available.

Interest rate cut expected today
The article is about interest rate cut expected. The author point out that the financial market reduce repurchase interest rate, though the economy has held down for the past few months. In addition, the manufacturing sector and capacity utillsation decreased in October which the exports and imports fell faster than expected. Moreover, inflation fell to the lowest level because increasing unemployment and declining economic.

I think that I don’t have confident about the economic because the imports and exports are fell and the manufacturing sector decreases, and other factors. Beside, I think that the government should find the solutions for help to the economic confidence. And develop the consumption in the community.

Orchid growers wilting as B800m in losses forecast
Summary
If Suvarnabhumi Airport remains closed will be effect with orchid growers. They will loss about 800 million from shipped out orchid. Mr. Suwan Hiranworawuttikul is the president of the Royal Horticulture Association of Thailand, their flowers cannot shipped out were losing between 50-100 million baht a day. Thailand becoming more unsafe for women
Summary
This news talk about that a report from the World Health Organisation told that Thailand was one of the 10 countries with the highest number of spousal abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault and unwanted pregnancy. According to a Ramathibodhi Hospital survey there are some five million families have these problem. So, the Friends of Women Foundation set up the Domestic Violence Victim Protection Act 2007 for supervise and severely punish of the wrongdoers. However, few women file complaints against abusive husbands due to embarrassment or fear of further assault. Moreover, these problem lead to increase in the number of abused or abandoned children.

King not giving much-anticipated birthday speech
Some 20,000 subjects, representing senior government officials and other groups, gathered at the Dusidalai Hall to wish His Majesty a happy birthday.
The Crown Prince thanked the crowd and said his Majesty was not well.
After the Crown Prince finished his speech, he assigned HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to brief the crowd of His Majesty's symptom.
The princess said His Majesty had bronchitis and phlegm.
